“One way or another”

Pictures are here

Don’t get me wrong, I always enjoy playing and, since we’re getting used to it now, I don’t even mind playing to a practically empty venue. However, it really isn’t fun when the venue is pretty full when the band before you goes on but is almost empty when we go on. So, there we are at The Sun in Leicester and the only really heavy band of the night are on before us and they just about clear the place out.

Ah well, you can’t win ’em all and at least it wasn’t us that cleared the place. Those who stayed heard the follow set, which I introduced as being brought to you by the letters J and P and the number 14:

Everything I Do
You Come Around
On Top Of The World
She’s His Girlfriend
Sasha Don’t Look So Blue
It’s In The Air
All I Want
While You Wait

So, new song On Top Of The World stayed in the set and we seemed to play it better than last time. What’s that old saying about practice making perfect? Who would have thought!

The rest of the set went pretty well too and the people that were still around all gamefully joined in on While You Wait. In fact, the biggest disappointment of the night was arguably getting lost while trying to get round the new one-way system that leads to The Sun in the first place.
